Your basic supplies are simple; a transparent jar and some different colored sheets of paper (and a scissors and pen). Of course the 'prettier' the jar or container you use, the better impression it will make. You might consider one of those self-sealing preservative jars with the rubber gasket and the metal latch. Using one of these makes the contents of the jar seem more valueable; like they're sealed in a locked down safe.
Now, write down as many reasons you can think of for why you love you partner, so that it would finish this sentence; "I love you because..." You can write things such as "your laugh makes me smile", to "you are my soul mate".
Do your best to come up with unique, personal notes that will be special. You can also add some volume by adding a few that just read, "I love you".
Now you should have a pretty good number of notes,now take each of your thoughts and write it on a square of the colored paper which will get folded up and placed into the jar.Title the jar by writing on the outside, "I love you because..." There are special pens you can get at a craft store for this, or you can use fingernail polish or any other kind of appropriate paint you might have access to.
Your "I love you because..." jar is now complete and full of brightly colored, thoughtful notes, and every time one is opened and read, it will be cherished, telling them again and again how you love them.
Something to point out is that these notes don't all need to be opened in one sitting. They can read one a day, or spread them out however they like. The notes can be put back into the jar too, recycling them and keeping the jar forever full.
